A composer makes decisions in five core musical areas: 1️⃣ Melody (The Main Voice) Melody is the tune you remember Built from pitch + rhythm Good melodies: Have direction (up/down movement) Use repetition + variation Fit the emotion (sad, happy, powerful) 📌 Example: A sad song often uses stepwise motion and minor keys. 2️⃣ Harmony (Chords & Support) Harmony is how notes sound together.
